A delightful evening was enjoyed by an excellent turn-out of members and their guests on 21 October to commemorate the Immortal Memory. The Melbourne Club, courtesy of NOC member Warren Kemp, was once again the perfect venue for this formal occasion.
In keeping with tradition it was conducted in naval mess dinner format with John Lord as the dining mess president and Rob Glanvill as Mr Vice. Unfortunately Victoria’s Divisional President was not present due to his commitments as Victoria’s electoral commissioner.
Peter Habersberger, as the Nelson orator engaged his audience with some excellent insights into the injuries sustained by Nelson over his career up until the time of his death.
The dining fare and the service was excellent, contributing to a very good night all round, as the smiling faces attest.
