With 39 members present, the recently formed Tasmania Division of the Naval Officers Club held it’s inaugural mess dinner at Anglesea Barracks, Hobart, on 9 November with the theme of commemorating the Sydney – Emden action. The Chairman of the Division, Lieutenant Commander Calvin Johnson, XO of Navy Headquarters Tasmania, presided over proceedings. NOC President Simon Cullen flew in for this auspicious occasion.
