Sydney Parliament House Lunch December 2021

The tradition of NSW and some ACT members celebrating the upcoming festive season by lunching at NSW Parliament House has now continued for 18 years, take out 2020 because of COVID.  While numbers were a little down on previous years, again due to COVID concerns, over 100 members and guests were treated to the usual excellent hospitality of our oldest Parliament House on 9 December. For the fourth occasion, our parliamentary host was the Honourable Anthony Roberts, MLA, a former Army officer.

As has been the tradition, our guest of honour and guest speaker was Lady Lynne Cosgrove, who focussed on the challenges and rewards of being a service partner.  Her amusing address struck a strong chord with the many of the lady partners present and stimulated a few guilt feeling in the former male serving officers who had blithely taken the challenges of relocations and absences as the norm.
