The 19th annual celebration, at the NSW Parliament House, of another NOC year successfully navigated was held on 8 December, hosted by the Hon Anthony Roberts MLA. Over 100 members, partners and guests participated in a fun-filled event which was ably supported by a contingent of the RAN band , including a vocalist to lead the carols and national anthem. The guest speaker, Ms Rhondda Vanzella OAM, was the immediate past-President of Australian War Widows Inc and a current member of the Australian War Memorial Council. Vastly experienced, Rhondda provided some excellent insights into the workings of not only those impartant organisations, but also the many other organisations with similar or conflicting objectives.
