Thirty eight members and guests attended the ACT’s Xmas Brunch at the Commonwealth Club in Yarralumla on a very pleasant early summer’s day, 4 December. Unfortunately changes to the date during October as a consequence of Coronavirus restrictions caused some likely attendees to opt out owing to previous commitments. Nevertheless, the turnout was pleasing in the circumstances and there was strong support for the two course plated meal in lieu of the previous buffet format. While attendees were expected to remain seated during the event, there was an opportunity for some cross-table mingling. Overall, the event was a fitting way to close off a difficult year.
