Dear members,

I regret to advise the death on 20 November 2024 in Perth, WA of NOA member Commander John C Lindsay RAN (Retired).

John entered the RANC, then at Flinders Naval Depot (HMAS CERBERUS), as a 13-year-old Cadet Midshipman in the 1954 Normal Entry. He specialised as a Direction Officer and resigned from the navy in the late 1970s to join the marine pilotage service at Port Hedland, WA where he became in due course the Senior Pilot.

A funeral service will be held at 10.00 am next Monday 16 December 2024 at St Patrick’s Anglican Church, Beaufort Street, MOUNT LAWLEY WA 6050.
