Once again the ACT division enjoyed a most pleasant pre-Xmas Brunch at a private club in Yarralumla, thanks to David Campbell. Attendees gathered in a comfortably sized room overlooking Lake Burley Griffin on a warm, mostly sunny Canberra day. The Division Chairman welcomed attendees and reminded them of the aspiration to merge with the Naval Warfare Officers Association during 2024. This was greeted favourably.
The brunch began with orange juice, tea or coffee and a selection of Danish pastries. Then came an attractive fruit compote, which was delightfully fresh. The main dish was based on scrambled eggs on toast garnished with avocado and accompanied by bacon, mushrooms and a green garnish. A number of attendees mentioned how much they enjoyed it.
Overall, it was a very pleasant note on which to close the year for the ACT Division.
