AUSTRALIA DAY HONOURS

NOC member Bill Taylor has been awarded an AM in the General Division of the 2021 Australia Day honours list “for significant service to the people and Parliament of Australia, and to public administration.”  Amongst many other contributions in the service of his country, Bill was Administrator of Christmas and Cocos(Keeling) Islands during those troubled times of the boat people armada over twenty years ago.   His investiture by the Governor of Queensland is planned for April.
